2-5-1: Are You Gambling With The Decision to Salvation

2 Scriptures

  1. “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” – Hebrews 9:27
  2. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:6

5 Lessons

I. Most people live as if death is far away.
You plan for tomorrow. Next year. Retirement. But what about eternity? We assume we have time, but what if later never comes? No one expects today to be their last. But every day, for thousands, it is.

II. You wouldn’t trust a stranger with your bank account, so why trust them with your eternity?
People will listen to anyone about life after death, friends, celebrities, even professors who have no proof beyond opinion. But only one person has died, defeated death, and returned with the answer: Jesus Christ.

III. Warnings don’t work if you ignore them.
Imagine driving toward a collapsed bridge. A sign says: DANGER AHEAD—TURN BACK. Would you laugh and keep driving? No. Yet, every day, people ignore God’s warnings. They think they’ll “figure it out later.” But when?

IV. Jesus isn’t a way, He is the way.
No religion, good deeds, or self-made philosophies will stand before God. Heaven isn’t for the “good enough”, it’s for those who have denounced sin and accepted Jesus Christ as the Saviour of their lives. He is the only bridge to God, and without Him, eternity is sealed.

V. Tomorrow isn’t promised, but salvation is available today.
Wilhelm Busch saw death up close. He knew that life could end in an instant. That’s why he stopped delaying and surrendered to Christ.

1 Prompt

If you died right now, would you be ready? Or are you gambling with eternity? Turn to Jesus while He is near and can be found. Surrender to Him today.
