2 Scriptures

  2. “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” – Mark 8:36

I. Time isn’t the issue—your heart is.
We all have 24 hours in a day, yet some manage to make time for God while others don’t. Why? It’s not about time—it’s about priorities. When your heart truly values something, your calendar reflects it. If God isn’t at the center, something else has taken His place.

II. The devil uses busyness as a weapon.
Busyness is not just a symptom of modern life—it’s a tactic. The enemy works subtly, not always with outright sin, but by filling your life with so much noise and activity that there’s no room for God. Distraction is one of his most effective tools.

III. Excuses only push God further away.
“I’ll make time for God when things settle down.” Sound familiar? Like Felix in Acts 24:25, who said, “When it is convenient, I’ll listen again,” excuses delay your relationship with God. But life rarely gets less busy. Tomorrow isn’t promised.

IV. God’s rest is the antidote to the world’s chaos.
Jesus invites you into a life of peace, not frantic striving. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28). Prioritizing God doesn’t add another task to your list—it redefines your life, centering it on what truly matters.

V. Making time for God is a choice.
Jesus always made time for the Father, even when the crowds demanded His attention. He withdrew to pray, showing us that time with God isn’t something we find—it’s something we choose. It’s about saying “no” to distractions and “yes” to the One who holds your life together.
